The aim of the resource

TENZ is committed to developing and sharing educational resources that support Technology education across Aotearoa New Zealand. This particular resource has been developed with support from Anna and Brendon from Brendon Jaine jewellery and aims to support educators with the following concepts:

• Design for the environment
• Sustainability ideas, including recycle, reuse, repurpose
• Local curriculum links
• Showcasing NZ innovators
• Skills & knowledge in materials
• Links to Māori culture

Many aspects of NZC Technology can be taught with this resource including, but not limited to, technological practice & the design process, physical & functional attributes, properties of materials and consideration of the impact on society and the environment.
