The University of Auckland, Women in Engineering Outreach Programme introduces high school students to the wide range of exciting opportunities in engineering.
Our one hour workshops are run by 3-4 current engineering students which consist of a short presentation and a hands-on activity for up to 30 students. Workshop activities are related to curriculums in physics, maths and coding.
WiE offer this free opportunity to physics and/or mathematics (with calculus) classes, STEM clubs or groups of students with at least 50% girls present.
WiE can also do presentation or panel sessions for a larger number of students, or provide subject support during revision and homework/study times.
